HOW THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM WORKS
The first week you come, you will receive a reading log to keep track of the books, chapters and times you read during the week. Each week for 5 weeks you will come into the library during the following hours and tell us how much you read, a little something about your reading and then collect your prize for completing the suggested reading.
Tuesdays: 11:00am to 1:00pm
Wednesdays: 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Thursdays: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Suggested Reading: Pre-K thru 1st grade – at least 1 book per day
Grade 2 thru 6 – 15 to 20 minutes a day

| You are invited to join Joan DeLuca for an exciting introduction to reading for both you and your child. Children ages one and a half to three years old will join their parent and Joan in song, finger play, games, and a project all related to the story read by Joan. The stories and projects will relate to summer themed activities and animals. This fun-filled, enjoyable program is held on alternating Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. Due to its popularity, there is a Sign Up Sheet for each night available at the library. |
