What if everyone in New Jersey read and talked about the same book at the same time?
One Book New Jersey, sponsored by the New Jersey Library Association and the New Jersey State Library, encourages people of all ages in the Garden State to get together and discuss great books. The year 2014 is a special one for New Jersey as we celebrate the 350th Anniversary of our state. To regocnize this anniversary and to honor our incredible history, culture, and diversity, NJLA has chosen the following four books:
Killing the Postmaster: A Saga of Poverty, Corruption, and Murder in the Great Depression// Holly Metz
The Idea Factory: Bell Labs and the Great Age of American Innovation// Jon Gertner
Ben Shahn: An Artist's Life// Howard Greenfeld
G is for Garden State: A New Jersey Alphabet// Eileen Cameron
If you read any of these books, let us know your thoughts by posting on our Facebook page!
