WELCOME TO LINCOLN PARK PUBLIC LIBRARY!
Beginning on Tuesday, June 1st, the Library will be open six days per week for browsing and checking items out. Please continue to return your items in the outside bookdrop. The computers, restrooms, and chairs will be unavailable. The hours of the Library are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 am-6 pm, Thursday 10 am-8 pm, and Saturday 10 am-2 pm. Closed Sundays. We thank you and appreciate your loyalty and support as we navigate COVID and attempt to keep patrons and staff safe and healthy.
We will begin to have some outdoor programming this summer. All outdoor programs will be subject to change due to weather, so we are asking that interested participants register for programs no later than 3 pm the day before the program. This will enable us to make sure that we have enough supplies and have your information if we need to cancel the program.
We are asking that participants wear a mask during in-person programming for the comfort and safety of all our participants. Spots will be limited to accommodate social distancing. You may feel free to bring your own towel or chair to sit on during any in-person programming.
What's New at the Library
Girl Scout Troop 96817 is recycling plastic. If we can keep 500lbs out of landfills by the end of the year, we’ll earn a free bench from Trex to place outside the library! We need plastic shopping bags, bubble wrap and air packs, plastic shipping envelopes (think Amazon!!), package wrappings like water bottles, toilet paper and paper towels, bread bags, dry cleaning bags, and more. Work in a warehouse or know someone who does, save the wrapping from pallets! Not sure if it’s recyclable, just ask! Drop-off bins are at the library.
The Lincoln Park Historical Society is interested in hearing from long-time residents who would be willing to share their memories of growing up in Lincoln Park. The LP Historical Society is also interested in borrowing any photographs or artifacts to compile a living history for possible publication in the future.
The LP Historical Society will also be conducting an oral history from any long-time residents who would be willing to participate. Let the LP Historical Society preserve your memories so that all residents of Lincoln Park will be able to enjoy the history of the people and the town.
If you are willing to share any of your memories, please contact the Lincoln Park Historical Society at . Leave your name and telephone number and a summary of what you would like to share. Thank you in advance for your participation!
